TBRS 2019

National Symposium on Integration of Natural Healthcare Systems And Modern Science: Potential Merits And Future Roadmap

TBRS 2019

About the Symposium (TBRS-2019): The Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani,  Siddha/Sowa-Rigpa and Homoeopathy, abbreviated as AYUSH, was formed on 9th November 2014. It is a governmental body purposed with developing, education and research in the field of natural herbal or alternative medicines. It aims to ensure the optimal development and propagation of natural systems of healthcare management. After being recognized, recent years have witnessed tremendous growth in the market of nutraceutical products and alternative medicines owing to their ability to combat some of the major health problems of the century such as diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, hypercholesterolemia, respiratory diseases, cancer, and various autoimmune diseases including arthritis, osteoporosis, myositis, ankylosing spondylitis, etc.

However, it is important to evaluate the scientific rationale to establish their world-wide therapeutic use in healthcare management. Thus, conscience efforts are required to well ensure the efficacy and safety of alternative medicines including nutraceutical products, especially those marketed for the management of serious diseases such as cancer. This symposium (TBRS-2019) is an attempt to provide a common platform for eminent scientists, natural healthcare practitioners, industry professionals, educators, students, young biomedical researchers, academician, policymakers, and business delegates to discuss, deliberate and propose solutions for contemporary issues related to natural systems of healthcare management.

Indeed, TBRS2019 will serve as a premier forum to present and discuss recent advances and innovations in the field of alternative medicines and to further promote collaborations between clinical and biomedical researchers to strengthen the base for integration of AYUSH systems to modern medicine.
