TBRS 2023

National Symposium on “Emerging techniques for the characterization and therapeutic evaluation of traditional ayurvedic/herbal medicines”

TBRS 2023

Indian Ayurvedic practices and herbal medicines are gaining more and more attention all over the world, due to their long historical use in healthcare and less side effects. According to WHO, 70% of Indian population extensively use these traditional Ayurvedic/herbal products for health care management either as alternative or complimentary medicines. The growing use of such Ayurvedic/herbal products by the public is forcing moves to evaluate the health claims of these medicines and to develop standards of quality manufacturing and safe for human use with less side-effects.

The focus of this national  symposium will be to bring together ethnobotanists, anthropologists, pharmacists,  medical doctors (or physicians), clinical/preclinical researchers, traditional (natural) healthcare practitioners and academic researchers working in the area of biomedical/allied sciences.

The symposium will serve as an effective platform for fostering academic collaborations among basic researchers, healthcare practitioners and translational biomedical scientists so that to develop standard protocols for characterization of Ayurvedic/herbal products as well as to generate scientific evidences for their therapeutic efficacy and safety.  We believe that the symposium will definitely contribute towards integrating Ayurvedic/herbal medicines in the modern medical care system and so bringing Indian traditional knowledge to the global market. For this, the symposium will include invited lectures (by nationally/internationally renowned and eminent scientists) industrial delegates and poster/oral presentations by PhD research scholars, young researchers, post-doc fellows.
